Deciding between a couple different classic novels and shortstories. I also picked up Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, and I already just so happend to have started The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde. I reread "A Tell Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe, and it was just as good as I remember from middle school. Honestly the easiest thing to read by him, absolutely fun.
Just finished We Used To Live Here by Marcus Kliewer it's...mid. The ending and the concept was way more interesting than the rest of the book. The descriptions were good sometimes, but i often felt the book got lost in it's own plot. The puzzles, oh don't get me started. they sucked, time consuming, fun only out of curiosity, and didn't add anything really to the story. I thought I would absolutely love it because i love the trope of a "haunted" house, and enjoyed this book's cooler, older step-brother, House of Leaves. Alas, no, We Used to Live Here will sadly have more interesting concepts than anything interesting to say
Last read Disapperance at Devil's Rock by Paul Trembly, I absolutely loved this book. It was a fun but proudly full of grief; horrific and quick passed. It's also kinda cringey and fits right in with the internet horror of the 2010s, but something about that was endearing. I do wish that the younger children were more developed as characters.
